Songs from the Fourth Floor

I am delighted to have sung the vocals on a fabulous album, ‘Songs from the Fourth Floor’ by electronica artist 4ourth4loor. The album will be released at a public launch on July 4th and is the innovation of Andrew Tomlinson whose superbly crafted songs also feature in a series of atmospheric films. Rich took some 4ourth4loor photos yesterday at Princes Quay – here’s the first of them. That Stingray is so photogenic, I was admiring it and Rich got the shot.

Pre-release reviews:

Journalist Phil Ascough on BBC Radio: “It sounds amazing – really modern electronic dance style with loads of remix potential” June 2014

Music Blogger Red Herring June 2014: “There’s some serious potential No.1 material and the best home grown album from Hull ever. It’s fresh and totally contemporary electronic dance music. The album flows from hard-edged dance to an ethereal chill out close. Get in the car, turn it up loud, and head off to the coast. Take a trip through a journey of uplifting songs but look out for the ghosts of love, loss and threads of the supernatural. Total blow you away stuff.”

Songwriter Graham Brady: “I was ready to think it would be good but I actually think it is fantastic. I played it through about three or four times it’s got some real positive energy, the same energy pet shop boys had…” June 2014

Media producer Darren Edwards: “It’s got big commercial potential…” May 2014

Songs from the Fourth Floor by 4ourth4loor will be available on I Tunes, 4ourth4loor website – http://4ourth4loor.com/ – and selected outlets from Friday July 4th. The launch event at Pop Art Space is open to the public.
