Loudhailer Acoustic returns! Note the change of date of the next musicians night at The Back Room: Next up Friday November 4th and then Thursday 1st December.
Loudhailer Acoustic returned after a summer break and how lovely it was to be back! Thanks to everyone who came along to play and a special mention to the fab audience. Rich & I opened the show and then enjoyed performances from Jeff Parsons and Friends – Dez & Cathy Allenby and Kelvin Baldwin (fantastic new songs, Witchcraft was something special), Pete McLeod (in great voice, top sound), Derek Waudby (lovely moving songs), Pavey Ark’s Neil Thomas (one of the coolest songs about Hull we’ve heard), Graham Graham Beck accompanied by George George the monkey (look at them in the picture below, exactly the same smile, they must be related), Phil Friend and Friends – Dez & Cathy (always a lovely take on life) and, with a perfect set for National Poetry Day, the Loudhailer Poet Laureate tonight, Roy Kibbler.
Rich took these photos, click on an image in the gallery and scroll though…
Next up, Loudhailer Acoustic on Friday November 4th and it would be brilliant to see our Loudhailer Acoustic friends at our Loudhailer Electric Company album launch at Kardomah94 on Saturday November 12th.
Loudhailer Electric Company release their debut studio album – Cursus – and celebrate with a psychedelic launch gig at Kardomah94 on Saturday November 12th 2016, illuminated by a full room projected psychedelic light show from 1968 original lighting specialists, Méssièré Lighting. Special guests Cowboy DC’s Work in Progress will open the show with their good time blue grass country stomp, and a DJ set of favourite tracks from Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Canned Heat, Love and more will close the evening.
Doors are at 7.30 pm and tickets are £8 from the venue or Hull Box Office click here to buy tickets
And on Friday December 2nd, superb Belfast singer songwriter Andy White at Kardomah94. Andy White is brilliant! Rich & I have loved his music since his first album, Rave On back in the 80s. We saw him again a couple of years ago and he was superb. Come and join us for his Band of Gold tour gig at the lovely venue Kardomah94. It’s going to be a real treat! Tickets £10 from the venue, online at Hull Box Office
Thanks again to Paul at The Back Room, a lovely music venue.
So, a few dates for your diary, be great to see you there!
