Loudhailer Acoustic July 2018

Half a Peach on a Bed of RiceLast month’s Loudhailer Acoustic featured image was a photo of some lovely rhubarb adorning the table on the way into The Back Room. This month we’ve chosen Rich’s photo of half a peach on a bed of rice. And it so happens that that is the title of Jim Orwin’s closing song.  ‘Half a Peach on a Bed of Rice” is a beautifully crafted song, mesmerising. There was time for each performer to play five songs altogether during the evening. Rich & I opened the show followed by super sets by Stuart Dainty, Roy Kibbler, Jim Orwin and Brian Williams.

Thanks to everyone who came to play, and to the audience, it was a lovely night as always. We’re continuing Loudhailer Acoustic throughout the summer, first Thursday of the month, so dates for 2018 are 2nd August, 6th September, 4th October, 1st November, and 6th December. All welcome, it’s always great to see new and familiar faces.
