Loudhailer Acoustic June 2019

It was another bumper night at Loudhailer Acoustic this month with new and familiar faces, loads of great music and a brilliant night all round, so thanks to everyone who came along and made it so. Rich’s photos tell the tale, you can see what went on, loads of highlights – brilliant to welcome Karl Oakes back to the stage, one of our first guests years ago when we were in the cafe in Willerby, Catherine Scott’s thought provoking poems, Dez Allenby’s blues kalimba was fab, Jim Orwin’s next songs from his book Songs from the River of Conditional Love, Gary and Moggy’s Black Crow, Maggie Graham – first time welcome to Loudhailer Acoustic and highly entertaining for sure, Steve’s solo voice songs, the morality tale was something to remember, Dave Blamires traditional historical originals, the trio of Roys – Roy Kibbler’s poetry in motion, Roy Lyon’s new and classic Crescent Moon, and Roy and Jeff’s Arena preview, all excellent, Paul Sutton’s fabulous finale, back on the stage and marvellous as ever, and high fives to Dez and Paul for joining in with me for the medieval Celtarabia song, Corvus.

Loudhailer Acoustic June 6th 2019

Remaining Loudhailer Acoustic dates for 2019 – July 4th, August 1st, Sept 5th, October 3rd, November 7th and change of date for the last one of the year, December 12th, come and join us.

Keep an eye on the website and Facebook page etc. for details of Loudhailer Acoustic. It’s always great to welcome new people – come along and listen to a fabulous range of acoustic music, quality songwriting and some familiar classics from a host of different performers. Thanks to Paul at The Back Room, a lovely music venue with craft beers and plenty of parking nearby.

Oh yes, Loudhailer Acoustic friends, don’t forget this Friday 21st June, Loudhailer Electric Company release Morpheus! Pre-release CDs will be available at our Midsummer Night’s Scream gig at Kardomah94. The evening is a triple header live music night featuring Loudhailer Electric Company – original psychedelic sounds, road songs, sci fi, myths & legends, Sleeperman – classic guitar and poem songs, imagine the Bad Seeds meet Alan Bennett and Jackson D – unique voice, cool cats with stylish songs and hints of Twin Peaks. This is likely to be our last gig at the lovely venue, Kardomah94, it would be wonderful to see our Loudhailer Acoustic friends there.
