Bob Wayne and the Outlaw Carnies played one of our top gigs last year at O’Riley’s in Hull, and Hell Yeah, Bob and his outlaw gang are coming back courtesy of Freetownway Productions, this time with support from favourite Hull Americana outfit Work In Progress. Expect a top night of music and stories.
Bob Wayne & The Outlaw Carnies (USA) are leading lights in the modern, outlaw underground country movement mixing elements of country and southern soul. Rebel and proud, Bob’s world is one of truckers, demon wrestling cowboys and wronged lovers.
Think Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard and his own main-man Hank III. If you like Townes Van Zandt, David Allan Coe, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, you’re on the right road for Bob Wayne.

Work In Progress, fresh from a fabulous live radio session and stormin’ set at John Peel Day on Saturday.
Here’s a gallery of Rich’s photos of Bob, last time in Hull..
We’ll be there, come for a drink and expect a brilliant night!
