News flash! Here’s a preview track from our forthcoming Loudhailer Electric Company album. It’s Out to Sea, recorded at Fairview Studio, featuring Jeff’s pink and orange psychedelic slide guitar, me and Rich’s down and dirty bass and drums, Chris’s soaring violin, Rich’s Big Six harmonica, and a tale about herons, foxes, peregrine falcons and unrequited love.
You can see by Rich’s photos in the video what a great time we had…
Loudhailer Electric Company are delighted to have been invited to record with John Spence at Fairview Studio as part of the studio’s 50th anniversary celebrations. We are thrilled to be amongst a host of cool bands on the Fairview 50 album, and had great fun recording last week. We have been dancing around to the funky sounds, but we can’t share our anniversary track yet – it’s all under wraps until the anniversary album comes out later in the year.
Fairview’s a great place to be. I have many happy memories of recording the Red Guitars album Slow to Fade there, we had some magical times. Whenever I go back it feels just like home.

Out to Sea – Loudhailer Electric Company
Where can you go if you wanna find me?
Down in the valley where the rabbits run free
Where can you go if you wanna find me?
Over the stream where the heron walks free
Where can you go if you you wanna find me?
Up on the hills where the foxes flee
I’ll be there if you wanna find me
Out in the wild wild land
Where can you go if you wanna see me?
Down to the river where the fishes swim free
Where can you go if you wanna see me?
Out in the field where the deer run free
Where can you go if you wanna see me?
Over the cliffs where the hawk hunts free
I’ll be there if you wanna see me
Out in the wild wild land
Where can you go if you wanna hold me?
Deep in the woods by the lightning tree
Where can you go if you wanna hold me?
In the cold dark cave where nobody goes
Where will I go if you don’t want me?
Where will I go if you don’t want me?
I’ll go down the shore to swim in the sea
What will I do if you don’t want me?
I’ll keep on swimming right out to sea
Yeah I’ll keep on swimming right out to sea
Over the waves ‘til the sea takes
me….

Out to Sea – inspired by walking through the wild North Yorkshire countryside and at the end of the day standing on the chalk headlands of Flamborough Head and looking out across the bleak North Sea.
