Jeremy Corbyn in Hull

This afternoon was Hull, Hope and Happiness. Jeremy Corbyn came to Hull and Rich, Dexter, Asa and I were amongst 3000 people who gathered in Queens Gardens to hear him speak and support him. It was awesome – inspirational sound talk, light at the end of the tunnel, and brilliant to see so many friends there. The Hillbilly Troupe, Joe Solo and a selection of speakers set the scene, it was a real feel-good afternoon. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen such a positive atmosphere of hope for the future, a crowd full of people of all ages, lots of young people. It was great to be with Asa and to see Dexter – who is 12 – absorbing it all, and talking about it with Asa afterwards.
