Summer Rain Dancers

Our new Loudhailer single is ‘Summer Rain Dancers’, inspired by being lucky enough to know so many creative people, musicians and artists. The song came together after having a really lovely afternoon at the garden party to celebrate the life of Fairview Studio’s Keith Herd, and catching up with lots of music friends, still making new original music. Let’s keep on rockin’ friends!

For All Summer Rain Dancers

Look over here, it’s me, I’ve got something right off grid
Are you a one s’more now, or wait a while for two kid?
If you’re the one that makes, invents it, plays it, gets it down
Meet the ones that climb the mountain, have a go, big town
Come on over here, it’s me, relive the chances that we took
I’m over but we’re laughing now, we did it all, by hook and crook, see see

Look over here, it’s me, I’m watching out for you
No, look over here, I’ve got something new for you
See over here, it’s me, I’ll be on guard for you
No, see over here, I’ve got something good for you
Come on over here, it’s me, I’m looking out for you
No, come over here, I’ve got something big for you to see see see

The chef’s in the kitchen, stirring up as usual
Doc’s in the science lab, cooking’ up a brew-sual
The lawyer is talkin’ bout a new constitution
Al the journalist is writin’ up the tale for the newsable

Look over here kid, it’s me, I’m watching out for you
Come on over here, I’ve got something good for you to see see see see

The architect is drawing up a plan for the livable
The priest spouts a sermon for the feasts that are movable
The sage is in the gallery taking in the view and
The money lender’s on his rounds, coming after you I said

The Mayor is in hiding, nowhere to be seen and
The best of the politicians turning over green but
The new money minders are trying to get it clean and
We’re all gonna get the best of the machine round here

Look over here kid, it’s me, I’m looking out for you
Come on over here, I’ve got something good for you to see see see see

We’re artists, and painters, primitive and otherwise
Makers and bakers, taste it and fantasise
Players and gamers, shake a shake a snake eyes
We’re dancers, we celebrate, fling our arms up high rise

We’re gardeners and growers, dig it dig it dig it more
Potters and throwers, we scape it, scrape it, shape it for
The future of creators, we all know, we know the score
We’re dancers, we party, I love it when you hit the floor

We’re all music makers, modern world and early
Storytellers, poets, right here in the hurly burly
Making dreams come true, we do, we do, Laverne and Shirley
We’re dancers, we skip through life, spin and twirly whirly

We’re actors and readers, ham it up and golden crown
Tailors and dressmakers, running up a ballgown
We talk the talk and walk the walk, takin’ it to downtown
We’re dancers, we party, we bring the summer rain down

Dancers, we party, all in the neon show town
Dancers, we party, until the cool and meltdown
Dancers, dancers, crown and clouds will reappear
Dancers, we party, we call the summer rain here
Bring the summer rain down down
