Before we duck down
Due to circumstances beyond our control we – Hal, John, Lou and Matt – may not be able to use the band name ‘Red Guitars’ (or similar) in the future.
When the relationship with our former singer started to break down again after the last tour we continued to record our album and we tried to hold the band together. But it turns out that during this time he registered the trademark ‘Red Guitars’ in his own name – so the four of us have to deal with that now.
However, this will not stop the four of us from continuing to record our new album, which is well on the way. We may have to temporarily go quiet for a while. But we’ll be behind the scenes, having a great time together, and getting on with the album.
A massive thank you to everyone who has commented with lovely messages of support on our blog and social media posts yesterday. We are truly heart warmed by your response. And thanks for loads of great, and funny ideas, all welcome!
We’re sorry that we have to go underground for the time being while we deal with the issues and try to protect our legacy. But we are not going to let anyone or anything spoil the music.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and those who will continue to do so. We look forward to coming back, maybe with a new name depending on the outcome, and definitely with new songs, as soon as we can.
Very best wishes,
Hal, John, Matt and Lou
