Players’ Night at the William Gemmell
The last gig of the year for us Hull Jazz Christmas Special at the William Gemmell Club. All the boys were back home for Christmas, and formed an impromptu Howard brothers trio. Thanks to Dave Ellis, Dave Short and the House Band. Great to see Sophie at the helm of the William Gemmell and nice to meet up again with trumpeter David and crew.
The House Band opened the show followed by Jenny Bray then Dexter played All of Me and Just Friends with the House Band, Ukranian/Russian folk tune Dark Eyes with Corey and Asa and Dexter and Corey were joined by friend Adam Scott on drums for Django’s Noto Swing. The evening finished off with all up on stage for a Blues Jam in F and Corey broke his duck on the raffle.
